Swan Winter 2012 Collection

Monday, September 10, 2012

A day out with the ladies had me trying on all the new Swan Clements Ribeiro range. This is how it went.

The Placement Print Salome was my number one pick online but after trying it on in a 22 which was too small around the belly (but all they had at Meadowhall) I really wasn't in love with it on my shape. It is a gorgeous original print that I love and selling out fast in all sizes. As with most dresses they are all a lot longer on my 5'3'' frame than in the models.

The Geo Print Celia Dress is a gorgeous print and style but the bust was too small for my 44h. I got it on and it looked fab but just not suitable for my my bust. It has glitter threads running through the pattern which adds a subtle sparkle.

Lace Grace Dress was one of my top picks on the website but I tried on the 26 and 28 in store and both felt like they were the same size and both would not fit over my bum.

The Lace Grace Skirt is a lovely alternative to the dress and may be one I opt for since the dress seemed to not want to fit my bum.

The Floral Border Dress was not one I said Oh WOW when looking at the collection online but after trying it on in a size 22/24 I fell in love with it! The cut of the sleeve and neck and shape of the bottom made this my fave outfit of the day. I will be purchasing this but probably in a 26/28.

The two items below were not in stock at Sheffield Meadowhall today but I am looking forward to seeing these in person and trying on for fit.

  3. LOVE LOVE LOVE the placement Salome dress but it's just a little on the pricey side for me. What a great print. Sighhh. Second fave is the Djellaba dress.
