Where did you meet your Bride/Groom?

Mark and I have mutual friends and have been involved in the same social circles for a long time, however, we actually met online. We both had POF profiles and thought 'hey! I know you!' Lol. Mark messaged me first and because I knew his face and I replied.

When did you get married and where?

We got married on 21st April this year in the fabulous Las Vegas! We were on our own as all our family and friends were at home, but it was planned and everyone knew we'd come back married.

What dress/suit size were you when you got married? (only answer if you want to)

I was and still am a 26/28 dress size, but my wedding dress was custom made due to my odd waist to bust ratio, damn these small boobs! Haha.

What was your experience of finding a dress/suit?

I never actually wanted a wedding dress, I wanted to be a cupcake and get married in a trashy Vegas chapel after a few too many cocktails and wake up like something from the hangover. Mark wanted a traditional wedding in the UK, so we negotiated and went with a nice chapel in Vegas. My mum was so disappointed that she was missing out on the whole wedding planning experience that I agreed to go dress shopping. She called The Big Day in Castleford and we went and I fell in love with the very first dress I tried on....even if it wasn't a cupcake! The whole experience was easy, laid back and actually really enjoyable.

Describe your day.

Our wedding day was stressful! I'd not thought about the implications of not having my mum, sisters and friends around me when I was getting ready. The make up artist was late and I had no one there to reassure me that it was all ok. Once I was actually ready and saw Mark waiting for me I felt calm again and I just couldn't wait to say 'I do'. After we had our ceremony we had a limo ride to the Vegas sign for photos, then we went to Buddy V's (Cake Boss) where we had wedding cake and champagne! Then we walked through the Venetian and there was a guy playing an accordion who started playing the wedding march when we walked in.  I felt like a celebrity when everyone turned to look at me. We walked down the Las Vegas strip and almost everyone was congratulating us and telling me I looked beautiful (which is definitely a new experience for me!). Then we went back to our room as we were red hot, got changed and gambled in the casinos. That evening we had dinner in the Eiffel Tower restaurant overlooking the Bellagio fountains at sunset. It was just us and I wouldn't change any of it if we had to do it again.
