This outfit is lovely but I bought the top which is actually a dress but too short for me to wear as one so I have sold it on my instagram sale page @lollylikessale. I love the colour and sleeve length and neckline but it was just too short. It also ripped my skirt when I was undressing so it was not a great day for fatshion in the House of Lolly. I wanted to show you guys this outfit anyway as it is a reminder that dresses can be worn as tops and that you can be sat and still rock sequins!

I got these #effyourbeautystandards tsirts a while ago and wanted to something a little different from my usual posts. Inspired by the lady herself Tess Holliday I had to wear my Minnie Mouse ears and adding Domino Dollhouse petticoats just seemed like the perfect finishing touch to this outfit. OK I may not wear this out without a slip underneath so you don't see my knickers but I am totally feeling these looks!

The Scarlett & Jo dress is The Star obviously! Just look at it! The sweetheart neckline that I love so much. The sleeve length. How the waist and seams pull you in and give shape. The fishtail flare. The sumptuous velvet. This dress just exudes class and elegance and I am in LOVE!

I am wearing the size 28 but could have easily sized down to a 26. The length of this and the other maxi velvets look very long on the hanger but please give them a try on as they do rise on the wider body and this length is perfect on me with a small heel or flats. I am 5'3'' but do have a huge bust that pulls the length up an inch or two.

You may have seen me blog about this Accesorize fascinator recently as it was a very expensive £35 that I would never normally dream of paying for a headband but once I tried it on I knew it had to come home with me and I knew it was going to look fantastic with this dress. Same can be said for the reasonably priced fur stole from Yours Clothing!

I know I am spamming  you all with Scarlett & Jo but it is because they are bloomin fantastic and I am excited about what they are doing and where they are going. I am mega awesome excited to share my first Lollidot Scarlett & Jo dress with you all! So much so that I bought lighting to take better quality photos so you can see just how perfect they are! If you have not heard me go on and on about Lollidots then here is the story. I asked Gifi Fields of Scarlett & Jo if they would do more polka dots after I had bought a couple of tops with dots from their sample sale at StyleXL. I also asked for white wedding appropriate dresses! Ha! I had seen Gifi at the Evans Event in Meadowhall a few weeks before and was wearing an old 1940s style flower print dress by him and gushed about how I loved the fit, quality and style. He worked his magic and decided to do some polka dot 1940s style dress but was calling them Lollidots instead of polka dots after me! I know let me just pinch myself!

This is the first of 3 available in this beautiful dark teal with white dots. It is a stretch comfortable material that I love as it is easy to care for and basically wash and wear. This style has a keyhole neckline which I have never really been a fan of but on this dress with the loose sleeve and round neck I am loving it and will wear it just as often as the others. I am a shortie at 5'3'' and it sits below my knee. There is a tie at the back.

I am wearing a size 26 and it fits my shoulders well. I found this style to have lots of boob room which I need. This is the medium sized Lollidots. There is also a small and large in different style that I will show you soon or you could go look and buy them from the Scarlett & Jo website now!

I added a vintage cake brooch and brogue shoes and wore this to a kids party and was comfortable and still fancy without being overdressed. This is what I love about these dresses! This is the first of my Scarlett & Jo pieces I bought from their New website. If you have not checked it out please do as it is like no other Plus Size website ai have ever seen! The fact that they have photographed ladies of ALL SIZES and HEIGHTS and SHAPES to show how their pieces will look on you is fantastic! They also include video of the ladies doing a twirl and tell you how tall and what size they are wearing to take the guess work out of ordering. I find Scarlett & Jo sizing to be spot on! I have bought all 26 in the new range and it fits perfectly.

As you all should know by now I have a major passion for glasses or #glassesporn being all things glasses related. I wore this outfit to one of my favourite human beings Birthday lunch in Leeds on Sunday. This outfit was put together starting with the brooch. It is hand painted by Jesiiii and my second brooch from her etsy store. What could be cuter than polka dot cateye glasses?! Not much!

This skirt is another #glasseporn favourite of mine. I found this fabric online and asked IneterrobangArt to custom make me a midi skirt out of it. I love that she makes straight and plus items and even designs her own fabrics! Check out her store HERE

I am unhappy with the quality of photos due to lack of light and was not going to post this but I have ordered some lights and will do a comparison photo of this outfit when they arrive!

I wore this today to run a few errands out and about with the family. It was a pretty chilly day and so I wore my black leggings but will be wearing this skirt in Summer to get the most wear out of it.

The skirt is actually a modified dress. I bought 3 of the same dress from SWAK in the USA as I loved the vintage prints but sadly they were way too short in the bust and very large everywhere else. I sold one and had the other 2 just sitting in a corner. When I got Interrobang Art to make me some skirts recently I asked if she did alterations and she does so I had her cut the dresses up and add elastic waist so I now have 2 very cool retro skirts I can actually wear!

The top is from Simply Be and came in a pack of 3 of various colours and was in a sale. The brooch is a little wooden robot by Ladybirdlikes. I have a few of her brooches. I added some earrings from Desperate Beatnik. The orange and blue glitter goes well with my glasses and the skirt!
