90's Teen/Tea Lady
Wednesday, September 04, 2013
Being one of the older bloggers I was around in the 90's and remember them! I was born in 1980 and wore dayglow, leggings, bicycle shorts, ski pants, shell suits and the lot! I am not saying I am proud of it but hey it was the fashion at the time, I also wore a lot of ditsy flower print button up dresses and torn jeans. Inspired by the likes of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.
I saw this dress at the last Plus Size Clothes Swap in Leeds and had to try it on. Buttons are usually a no go with me as they gape and pop open too easily over my lumps and bumps but since I got a sewing machine in February I figured I could sew it closed. Once it was on I had a little flashback when I looked in the mirror and think I actually owned this same dress in the 90's!

Lovelovelove this! I was obsessed with the Gwen Stefani, Hole, L7, Garbage type fashion when I was a child/teenager It'd be nice to see that fashion come back around! xx

ReplyDeleteLovely outfit! x
ReplyDeleteThis dress looks so pretty. And sewing buttons closed is what I have to do too! Got any more tips for clothes altering to suit more voluptuous figures?
