I have been wearing Glasses since I was 11 years old and found myself in the middle of math class asking to borrow my friends glasses so I could read the problems off the blackboard. Turning into a teen is hard enough without being fat and having to wear glasses. As you can imagine I was not one of the cool kids. I was bullied at times but had a core group of friends that got me through the crappy times. I remember getting my first pair of glasses and feeling happy that I had picked a nice...
Tess is relatively new to my life and has made the most impact. She is a mother, model and make up artist who blogs about her experiences. She is fat and beautiful and yet has struggled with it for many years like most of us but didnt let it stop her from following her dreams. I love her attitude and the fact that she is a great role model for young girls. I wish I had a Tess when I was growing up. With the internet, FA, HAES, blogging etc. Young chubby and fat people have an enormous...
I can't wait for those long summer days when you want to do nothing but sit in the sun drinking fruity iced teas and reading a book or catching up with friends or having a picnic in the park. That is what I will be doing when I get to wear this dress!!! Its another of my FREE finds at the Clothes Swap. New Look Inspire size 24. Perfect for sunning my whiter than white legs and keeping my shoulders from being burnt to a crisp. Plus it goes perfectly with my Primark Polka Dot heels! Yay! I...
Quite a simple outfit with a splash of tribal. This top is another Clothes Swap find! New still with tags on! Moda at Asda size 24. I am finding wearing skirts that showcase my double belly really liberating! Its quite a scary thing to show it off at first. After years of being told to dress to hide your "bad bits" by parents friends and media. Once you learn to love your belly dressing to hide things becomes meaningless. Its all about what you WANT to wear. Which makes dressing FUN again. I am 32 years old and it...
This woman is my idol! This is Rita she is 80 years old. She wears a different pair of novelty glasses everyday! I WILL be like her when I am old. That's a promise not a threat. Below are some gorgeous glasses porn I have been eyeing up recently. Some are modern and some are vintage but all are beautiful! I think of glasses like I think of bags and shoes. They are an accessory. I would be very bored of wearing the same shoes everyday for a year or two. Glasses can be worn to match an...
I freakin LOVE this dress!!! I got it from Crazy Clearance last year. It is a Simply Be Gingham Swing Dress size 26 and cost about £12. I think it would look stunning with a petticoat under it. I am lusting over the Domino Dollhouse ones! Especially a red or mint green. When I finally get my finances sorted out I will invest in a couple. Also going to buy some different coloured ribbon to use with these shoes! Bag - Primark £7 Shoes - Hush Puppies Gift £50 ...
As an unemployed fatshion lover I was happy to see Evans Swan Collection by Clements Ribeiro. Just my thing! vintage styles in fun patterns but way too expensive for me even if I was earning a good wage. I understand you are paying for the name but these are still just clothes. If I was a size 12 I could shop in Topshop and Primark and get lovely vintage inspired clothes for around £30. Being FAT we are made to pay more for clothes because we have to shop in specialist stores. I want to live in a...
