I blogged about a bodycon dress a little while ago and had a some back handed compliments about being brave or how they would have sized up. Well guess what! This is my body, my belly, my dress and my CHOICE! I get to choose what I wear and how I wear it and you get to choose for yourself also!

Please don't let the opinions of strangers or even people you know or are related to make your fashion, life or health choices.

So with thai t in mind I had this dress in my Simply Be Wish List for quite some time, It is not something I will wear a lot but it reduced form £65 to £25 and I also had a 20% off code so snapped it up and had a blast deciding how to style it.

I am not a heel person. I am happy in brogues with everything but these shoes were just so bloomin cute I had to try them. The are wide fit and was surprised the ankle strap fit my extra large legs. The heel is chunky and the sole has inside padding so they are actully quite comfortable of heels. I doubt I could wear them all night but for that make an impression entrance they are a winner for me.

“I wanted to make pieces to last years. Beyond trends, beyond chain stores. I wanted to create something all its own, something just for us, made with love and consideration. Made ethically in the USA as a small company with no corporate input. Uncompromising, unapologetic, humane, and timeless. Go-to pieces designed to last.”- Beth Ditto

To some people clothes are just things to cover your body. To me clothes are mood boosters and expession of what I am feelng projected to the world. As Beth Ditto says above "uncompromising, unapologetic" fashion. My choice of clothes for my fat body are uncompromising and unapologetic! I am fat some don't like that word and I understand why but I own it and am in no doubt of what my body looks like to myself or others. I am fat. That is not a bad thing it is just my sizes/shape. That is all it tells you about this body.

My belly is large and wearing clothes that show it is not a bad thing. I am not hiding it. It is part of me and you don't have to love it. Hell you don't even have to like it because it is mine not yours. So yes you can see my belly but if that is all you see then you need to check your eyes.

Wearing clothes that are made for a fat body and celebrate my body with colour and quality is a total joy. This top makes me feel happy. That is what this Collection does for me. I hope you see that in me and can find it in yourself with fashion or something else because heing unhappy in your body is not a nice ways to live. Trust me! I did it for over 20 years.

While clearing out my old room at my parents house I found some great old tshirts had had bought but never worn because I felt they were too small. Since discovering my new love for VBO (Visible Belly Outline) and my DB (Double Belly) I thought these I should give the tshirts the wear they deserve and get my money worth out of them!

Side by side shot just because I can! Give your old clothes a look through and see if there is anything you can alter and use. This works just as well with SB (Single Belly) as it does with DB. Don't trust your mirror! Take a full body pic to see how an outfit looks and then decide if it works or not. Show me your finds!

Quite a simple outfit with a splash of tribal. This top is another Clothes Swap find! New still with tags on! Moda at Asda size 24. I am finding wearing skirts that showcase my double belly really liberating! Its quite a scary thing to show it off at first.
After years of being told to dress to hide your "bad bits" by parents friends and media. Once you learn to love your belly dressing to hide things becomes meaningless. Its all about what you WANT to wear. Which makes dressing FUN again.
I am 32 years old and it has taken me a long time to love myself the way I am but trust me its worth the effort. Push yourself to be uncomfortable and do things you wouldn't normally do. The more you put yourself out there the easier it becomes and eventually you do it without thinking about it.
Worrying less about what people think and focusing on what you think about yourself are a must for anyone at any age and size!
