This is another dress that I have not really been sure what to wear it with then this week I have worn it 3 times and styled it differently! I love tge 60s print and collar. Even the sleeves are fab and length is good one me. It is another Modcloth sale purchase. It is a non stretch woven fabric with stretch lining.

I wore tan belt and shoes And my bargain Primark sunglasses that I had reglazed for £10 and are now prescription glasses!

Add some Desperate Beatnik earrings and a fun brooch and my hippy look is complete. I have to say I got the feel for this look from the Advanced Style Ladies! Love them all and I aspire to be as sylish in my Advanced Years.

After two trips to Simply Be recently I thought I would share with you my finds and faves!

The first three are from Meadowhall in Sheffield and as always the staff were super fiendly and helpful. More larger sizes in stock this trip too.

The others are from the Edinburgh Fort store and I have to say I was not impressed by the staff. I was in the store for some time and not one member of staff made any effort to see if I needed help once. Even trying on these items there was no member of staff on fitting rooms ro help. I left the store dissapointed in my experience. The changing room had one of the new interactive mirrors but was not set up to use and nobody to explain why. The store looked great and is in a great location. I have shopped in a few different Simply Be stores and this is not the normal from their staff.

Loved this denim dress but size 26 was tight on bust but loose under bust. No 28 in store to try.

Likes this on the website but not on me. This is a 26. Love the oriental print. Has stretch.

Joe Browns flower dress in 26 and I love, want and need it! Slight stretch to cotton like material.

Joe Browns again. Likes this. It is a stretch material and liked the shape of it. This is a size 26.

Liked this online but not on me. I seem to not get on with V necks. This a 28 and has no stretch.

This is a small size 26 and no 28 in store to try on. Stretchy material.

Super cute cropped jacket/bolero size 26. Didn't like the edge down the front. It is just turned over and not fixed down so pulls round as it it a stretch scuba material.

Loved the colour of this quilted stretch jacket but looks like a house coat on me. This is a size 28.

This is my favourite from of all the jackets. It is light and a great print. This is a 28 and can't close it but would wear it open.

Happy V Day you gorgeous lot! A bit of red is always good on V Day and this dress has been waiting in my wardrobe for it debut today! The heart cutout in the back is just soooo cute and there is a silver fine glitter thread in the fabric. It is a thick textured stretch material with loose skirt lining so no Marilyn Monroe vent moments.

This dress is a statement on its own but I had just bought my wedding shoes which are also red and glitter so figured why the hell not!

Red lips and red glasses with gold Desperate Beatnik earrings and brooch finish off my V Day look with that extra bit of sparkle!

Now time for steak and cake with my Love x

Hot Tub Time Machine

Franklin was being looked after by the Grandparents while we attended the meal. We get in the car and drive to the venue only to pull into the Casa Hotel car park and I am told there had been a venue change. We walk in and head to the lift when I say to the boyfriend "you are up to something! What have you done?" We walk down a long hall and into the Gaudi suite which is beautiful. He then says "the meal was yesterday, Happy early Valentines!" I am a bit confused still but excited and have a good look around the room oooing aahhhing at the view, fancy decor, jumping on the giant Emperor super comfy like a cloud bed and check out the bathroom.

As I walk back into the room he gets down on his knee and asks me to marry him with a shiny ring extended to me! I of course say yes! We have been through a lot together in the last year which has only made us stronger as couple and a family with Franklin. I was a bit in shock and it didn't really sink in until later that night. We went out for a meal and back to the room to make full naked use of the heaven on earth hot tub then the bed! Bawww chicka wowawww!

Saying Yes In This Dress

So you might have noticed my many posts on various social media on Sunday that I got engaged. My lovely man of nearly 5 years proposed to me on bended knee in a swanky hotel room. Let me take you to the start of the evening. I got dressed up to go to a friends birthday meal or so I thought.

I wore this Modcloth dress I have blogged about before HERE but can never seem to get great photos of! I love this dress. I added my Desperate Beatnik matching red/silver confetti glitter lucite earrings and brooch set.

Keeping with the glitter theme I wore red glitter flats and my new Red Or Dead gold/silver glitter bag. I got it from Simply Be but can't find it on the website now.

The future husband even made an effort with a fancy shirt and suit jacket. He lives in tartan shirts so this is fancy for him. He even posed for a couple of pics. Ever the joker! One of the many many reasons I love him.
