Look whats back! The beautiful Bird print that was so loved when it first appeared in black with green or with pink. I ordered this as I was unsure of the fabric but on close inspection I fear it is the same material as was used first time around which washed out terribly after just a couple of washes. It is a shame as it is a fantastic retro print and I would love to have it in a better fabric. I wait to hear some reviews on this item.
It is a different shape to the first version. There are no pockets and no elastic waist. Instead they have added a tie to the waist. The sleeves have a little cuff on them too. The dress is priced at £22.99 and if it was not for the terrible material I would be happy to pay it but as it is I like to get a few wears out of my clothes before they look like they are years old and faded.
The Lipstick is by MUA and shade 1. A dark red/plum which went perfect with the dress.
I saw this dress in the Simply Be book that comes through the door and fell in love but it was far too expensive for me at the time. I then saw it in person at Plus North and got a good feel of it and was able to see the size which looked lovely and made me rekindle my flame for it.
One day while looking on ebay I noticed this one for sale and it was new with tags on for only £20! So thought it was fate and purchased the beautiful Georgette dress in a size 26.
I love polka dots and I love Black & White so decided to stick with it as I would normally add red for a pop of colour but think the red lips are enough.
The dress is quite stretchy and very comfortable to wear. Also the skirt has a black lining which is not as floaty as the polka dot part so you don't have to worry about your skirt blowing up in the wind.
There is a tie on the waist for around the back but I like it at the front in a little bow to the side.

Being Scottish I am all about the Tartan or Plaid as Americans call it and this is a classic look that is a great go to item for those winter days when all you want is a cozy item to throw on. It is described as Red but is more Orange in colour which is not what I am looking for.
I ordered a size 26 as I figured it would have no stretch and I would like a little room in it but sadly the 26 was too tight across the bust as you can see. It was not going to work. I do have a large bust but a New Look Inspire 26 usually always fits me with room.Be wary when ordering online I would say try on in store if possible.
I also purchased these lovely Tartan Converse type boots for next summer. A bargain at £6.99! The soles are just as good as real Converse which is usually not the case with most copies.

The wonderful and talented Pesky Chloe of Lifes Big Canvas sent me an amazing gift last week and am sure you will agree it is soooo me! I have not had it off all week and keep getting so many compliments on it. Glasses chains are something I remember as a kid and when Rachel had hers on to Plus North everyone was asking where she got it. Chloe started a range of them on Rachels request and she loves them. I have to say I have fallen in love with them too. How could you not when you can jazz up any glasses with a cute and colourful glasses chain!
Chloe has kindly donated £20 voucher for the winner of my 100th Post Prize Draw to spent in her store!
If you are not familiar with Lifes Big Canvas then you are missing out! Below are a few other items available. Everything is limited numbers and only available for a short time which means stock keeps changing and there is always something for every taste!
Below is another beautiful glasses chain by Chloe. The pearls and beads with swallows looks incredible and would look fabulous on any lady who love a bit of the vintage look. There is everything from fun to funky, kitsch to classic and some steampunk thrown in there too! There are also Halloween and Christmas inspired items available to purchase now! All good value and Chloe also provides a custom service where you can choose the length of a chain or bracelet so you know it will fit perfectly.

So as it is clearly winter this is my last summer post for a while. I thought I would make it a bright happy one. This outfit makes me smile because it is just pure Summer to me. I got the Skirt in the New Look sale for £6 and loved the colours. I have not got any skirts like this so thought it was a good thing to add to my growing wardrobe. I got the vest in Asda and the shrug was also from Asda a while ago. The Bangle I got from Primark for £1!
Also this is my 99th post and I will be doing a Giveaway for my 100th with a brilliant prize from Pesky Chloe at Lifes Big Canvas! Look out for it next week.
I am off to Blackpool at the weekend but sadly will be wearing more winter worthy clothes as it will be freezing and raining no doubt. What are you doing this weekend?

Meadowhall trip the final installment. Excuse the wet rained on frizzball hair. New Look has had a changing room makeover and it looks so fresh and pretty. You might be able to catch a glimps in the background of some of my photos.
I had seen this red peplum dress online and figured it would look horrid on me but tried it on anyways! I am wearing a size 26 which was too low on the bust as was the peplum section but the belly was way too small.
I love the colour of this dress and the fact that it is polka dots. Lisa tried a 26 and I the 28. It is a really light stretchy fabric but I worry it would catch on things being of a lace type material, The bust was high enough to cover the bra and length was good on me for a dress but fear Lisa might need to size up for more length to wear as a dress.
It is by Praslin which I must admit have never tried any of their items on and had been warned their sizing is small which I would defo agree with. This dress costs £30.
I tend to shy away from skin tone clothes and have not fallen victim to the sheer blouse phenomenon but figured I would give it a whirl. I actually surprised myself and really like it. The colour is broken up by the black collar and black leggings. I fear I am too much of a wuss to wear this now as the weather has turned terribly cold and I have resorted to gloves already. It is certainly something I will try next summer.
The blouse is a size 26 and cost £17.99.
I purchased a beautiful dress from New Look but you will have to wait for an ootd post for me to show it off in its full glory without my rained on hair!
I am a fan of New Look for their variety and sizes available but I am not happy at the removal of plus size ranges from city center stores and online postage fees for orders and returns. Also the Plus Size sales never have much in them and the fact that online and in store stock are not calculated together. If something is sold out online you will usually still find it in store. Which means a trip to the shop.

Ooooh look their is the swanky new changing room behind me!
