Green Thang!

Sunday, September 21, 2014

Well here is something rather special for you all. I love me some sequins and loved all the Mermaid sequin dresses that were available last year but sadly missed out on one. To my complete delight the new Claire Richards range for Fashion World featured this beauty! This Mermaid shall go to the Under The Sea Dance!

The dress has a lovely wide v-neck and back. The longer sleeves and length are a nice touch for this winter wonder. There is a slight stretch to the fabric and lining and has no zip so it is a slip over the head affair which I love.

This dress does not need anything fancy added to make it shine but I went all out BLING and added my FollowRayOnline necklace. For a bit of fun I added my Hamburger clutch and vintage cateye glasses.

Dress - Fashion World Claire Richards Emerald Sequin dress size 28 £95

Necklace - FollowRayOnline £15.99

Shoes - asda (old)

Glasses - VintageEyeGlassesCat etsy

Here are my favorites from the Claire Richards Fashion World collection!

What do you think? Have you purchased any for yourself?

This dress was gifted to me by Fashion World for review. All opinions are my own.

Plus North 2014 - Saturday Night

Monday, September 08, 2014

This is my Plus North evening outfit recreated as the lighting was not that great for photos at the venue or my phone was just being rubbish. I got this dress after Christmas in the Simply Be sale and this was its first outing! I knew I wanted to keep it for something special and Plus North is VERY SPECIAL!!! I was given this AMAZING necklace by FollowRayOnline. They have an incredible range of sparkle and bling necklaces! Another Post to follow just about these necklaces! I chose this one because it has so many colours and would go with any other accessories I chose for an outfit. It is a true statement necklace and just what I wanted for this outfit.

These were my accessories for this outfit. I went with the pink but could have easily went with any other colour thanks to the necklace. I wore my iclickoptical glasses (Just enter iclick10lolly at checkout for a 10% discount!) and New Look donut clutch bag.

This is the necklace as described on the FollowRayOnline website.
My Top 10 picks post to follow!

All Dressed Up & Nowhere To Go

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

A while back the lovely Em of Terrible Tumbles described my style as "ever stunning and never knowingly underdressed" which is pretty much spot on! I dress up even when I am not leaving the house. I do have my pj days like most people do but I tend to feel better when I make a little effort even if I don't brush my hair or put on make up I instantly feel better in a dress or nice top and skirt.

I ordered this Glassesporn print to from Modcloth quite a while ago but then realised once it arrived that I had nothing to wear it with. It sat unworn but loved in my wardrobe until I found this black midi on Asos and figured it would be a good staple for my wardrobe plus it has an elastic waist. So here is my first outfit with this top! I blinged it up with my Primark necklace and of course some Cateye Glasses.

My Modcloth experience was pretty good! USA sizes always have me a bit confused but looking at the size chart I ordered the 4x and it is actually very roomy and is a stretchy material but think I would need the 4x in non stretch items. I ordered the top in the sale for $9.99 reduced from $32.99 and postage was about the same again but as it was under £20 I did not have to pay import tax. I am always put off by charges when ordering form outside the UK. Saying that I did just order 2 dresses from Modcloth and waiting to see how much I will be charged. The orders usually take 2 weeks to arrive.
