I love all things retro and American classic poodle skirts with saddle shoes has to be my all time favourite look.  This outfit just jumped out of my wardrobe at me when sometimes putting an outfit together can be be a bit of a challenge. I am so glad I snapped up this skirt in a Modcloth sale a while back and it goes great with this Everything5Pounds striped top. The shoes and glasses finish off this look and give it the vintage feel.

My glasses were an ebay buy from the USA. They are vintage Ray Ban Glitter Cateye Sunglasses that I had reglazed with my prescription for £10 from Specs-by-post.

The amazing PinUp Girl Clothing had a 25% off sale for 4th July so I took the plunge and ordered a couple of things. I had wanted a couple of dresses including the one to match this bag but it was out of stock in all sizes! I have put my name down on the waiting list for when it is restocked.

I have been after a pair of proper Saddle shoes for about 6 years and these are not leather and probably wont last long but for the price I was more than happy to just get them to complete my shoe dreams. The skirt is something I picked up at the last Leeds Plus Size Clothes Swap I helped run. I think it is handmade as there are no tags and the stitching is not perfect in places. It is a lovely shade of purple on goes great with my new Audrey II bag!

Here is a Hippy 1960s inspired Budget Bridal outfit consisting of an Asos Curve Floral dress which screams Flower Power. This dress is so lovely and is a stretch material making it comfortable. It is a swing style shape dress but I added a belt to give it more shape for this occasion. It sits below the knee on me and I felt fabulous and retro wearing it. I actually wore this to a friends Wedding at the weekend on a super scorching hot day and felt lovely and cool.

This style is not for everyone but I love to be a bit different and I am finding myself really loving the big bold vintage prints at the moment. No Hippy style look is complete without some big Sunglasses and these glitter ones are so me! Sadly they have sold out at Asos but there are lots more fun and funky glasses to choose from to complete your outfit. Asos Curve have so many gorgeous dresses in that would be perfect for any style lady.

I took the pinky beige colour from the dress and choose the pom pom hem kimono and shoes in the same tone to finish off this look. What do you think? Some flowers in my hair and a hot tub time machine and I would pass as a real 1960s chick!
