This is an outfit I wore to go to Skegness for the day. It was a scorching hot Sunday and good thing I remembered to put on the sunscreen before I left as hubby got very burnt. I got the tshirt for Asda for £8 in a size 24. I love the pop art style and polka dots are always a favourite. Comfy shoes and my first pair of jeggings. I have not worn jeans in a long time and don't think they would be comfy now with the baby bump. I always feel a little exposed with leggings and a tshirt but these denim look thick leggings are perfect.

When CorsetsUK contacted me about doing a review I was dubious to say the least! Having large breasts and going through the increasing difficult task of trying to find bras to fit my 44H melons, I know strap-less bras are a no go for me. I need wide straps and at least 2 hooks at the back to fit comfortably.


I have never tried a corset before so looked at the huge range available for on their website before making the difficult choice as they are all so beautiful. Still with doubts about fit I placed an order for their largest Steel Boned Corset a size 48". To my huge surprise it was far too big for my bust! Seriously it was massive! I requested to size down a couple sizes to a 44" as the back has a large lace panel that can be tightened or widened by up to 7 inches.


The smaller size arrived and I put it on instantly and it fit! I have to say you do need a friend to help you into one of these as the laces are quite hard to do yourself and get tight enough. I had been ill for a week so didn't take these photos until last night and realized just how much my bump has grown when I had to loosen the laces quite a bit just to get it on. It will be kept until after the baby is born then I can break it out and tighten it up good and proper for a great hourglass shape!

 I cannot recommend these enough! If you have never tried a corset and are thinking about one then DO IT! CorsetsUK have a great range of burlesque styles and also bride suitable styles. As you can see there is still plenty room for me to tighten up the laces once the bump is gone. I felt totally safe and supported at the bust. No worry of falling out and as the bones are Steel there is no excess bending like plastic bones on bras. Nothing jabbing into me and felt a million bucks in it. Every lady should own one of these even if its just for bedroom antics!

This beautiful vintage looking dress is by Curvissa. I was offered the chance to review an item from their large range of Plus Size clothes and as soon as I spotted this beauty I knew it was the one for me. The dress is cotton and lightweight so perfect for summer and with a grandad collar with slight V it covers up the sun sensitive bust area. The sleeves are also a good length so no strange tan lines. The length is perfect for me being 5'3''. I love the little ruffle edge down either side of the buttons and the waist detail.
This dress is lovely and beautiful on although a bit more than I would normally spend on a dress. If your budget is a little more than mine then I would recommend this dress. After looking at the size guide I opted for a size 28 since it has no stretch and I usually need to size up with anything that has buttons over the bust but I am happy to say the bust is perfect and the arm cuffs are generous and also have a button so can be undone if a little tight. It would look great with a big red chunky belt too if I had one!

I wore this outfit to go for dinner with friends. I always have to pick clothes that will hide spills as I always drop food down my boobs! The pattern of this dress is great for hiding any accidents at the dinner table. You might remember this dress from a post a while back Simply Perfect In Every Size. You can see it HERE.
I love this dress as it it super comfortable and has lots of stretch. It was quite cold out but I always get hot when at restaurants so didn't want to wear something with a cardi. The longer sleeves and high neck kept me warm without overheating. I am loving seeing how the items in my wardrobe look on my ever growing baby bump. I am hoping to not have to buy much maternity wear and make the most of the items already have. Shoes and pants seem to be the only things I have had to size up in so far! Big pants to cover my big ass and belly. I feel my bras starting to get a big small which means a nightmare hunt for bigger ones when I already have problems finding 44H.

What it says on the tin really! This was the idea of Becky and some other lovely ladies during a twitter chat. Nothing too naughty just getting some flesh out for the summer. This dress is an old one that I have blogged about before but its a great dress for flashing some boob and a little leg.

You may remember this dress/top from the first Evans Clements Ribeiro range. It is still a firm fave in my wardrobe and tend to dress it with navy leggings, belt and boots. Today I thought I would try a more casual look since it was a sunny day and had plans to be out and about. The red leggings and trainers kept me comfy all day and as the top has a batwing style sleeve I was not all hot and bothered under my arms. Just a quick ootd of a dress I love and love to wear. I am looking forward to seeing what the new Clements Ribeiro range for Evans will be like.

This is a more personal post that I don't really tend to do on her but as some of you may know already I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago. The only reason I went to the doctor abut it was because my friend and my boyfriends sister were both diagnosed with it and their symptoms of irregular periods and lots of facial/body hair were both problems I had been having for many years but figured it was my weight as I had heard of this happening to people who are fat.

Having been sent for an internal scan at the hospital I then received a letter from my doctor telling me that I indeed had PCOS. After discussing the issues of getting pregnant with my boyfriend we decided I should come off the pill and see what state my periods were in. So I stopped the pill in November and has an initial stopping period which I had expected. The following month I had a period but then nothing so I went to the doctor and asked for a referral to Pre-Pregnancy Clinic to talk about my options. There is a pill that I could get to make me have regular periods which means pregnancy would be possible.


I got an appointment for March 25th and waited 45 minutes to be seen then finally got to talk to Val a lovely Diabetic specialist. As I have been Type 2 Diabetic for over 10 years her main concern was my blood sugar levels. Thankfully my levels have been great with 1 x Metformin tablet a day although it got increased to 2 x a day when PCOS was diagnosed as it is also a treatments for it.
She was happy for me to proceed with getting pregnant as my health was good. She would refer me to an Infertility Clinic to get medication to make me have a period every month and make it possible for me to get pregnant.

Another Doctor came in and asked about my PCOS and looked up my test on the computer. She informed me that I did NOT have PCOS! I did not have cysts on my ovaries but my blood test had been borderline. She asked when my last period was and I told her January and she insisted on a pregnancy test. At this point I grabbed my boyfriend from the waiting room and told him what was going on.

I gave a urine sample to the nurse and she returned a short time later with Val and said " I have some good news!" to which I said "SHUT UP!" she went to say "you are pregnant! " and I exclaimed " HOLY FUCK!" then looked at my boyfriend and burst into tears. The nurse and Doc left us alone and I cried and hugged him then laughed and just could not believe what I had just heard. We were happy but shocked! Having expected it to take years for us to get pregnant this was the very last thing I thought I would hear today. From my last period it was thought I could be 11 weeks pregnant! Which explains why I have felt like shit! Also why my nipples had been so tender for the past couple weeks and why I had been getting a dead leg from my hip to knee at random times!

We were sent away and I was told to make an appointment with my local GP to see the Midwife.
I saw her 2 days later and she referred me for a scan. Two weeks later still no word so saw another Midwife and she called the Hospital to see what was happening and they said they were just really busy and I would have an appointment in 2 weeks. Two weeks passed and still not appointment!
By now I was 16 weeks and had missed my first scan so I called Val at the Hospital and explained my situation. She said something was not right and she would look into it for me. She called me back and said I had not been put on the system! I was angry that it had been 4 weeks for nothing! She said I would get a call tomorrow with a Scan appointment.

After waiting 40 minutes to then be told we were at the wrong department and having to move and wait another 20 minutes we finally got the scan. The scan was all of 5 minutes and confirmed my thoughts of 17 weeks. I was too late for the first down syndrome tests but got a blood test. I was so scared and excited for the scan but mostly scared. The first thing the doctor said was "there is the heartbeat" and I actually felt the relief wash over me with just those words. It is so strange to be able to see this little thing growing inside of you. I still can't quite believe it is real as my belly has not grown that you would notice.


This is our little guy/girl. I think its a boy as I have been conducting a small survey with friends and family. The women who had morning sickness all had girls and the women who didn't have any morning sickness all had boys. Whats your thought on this?
