I have not shopped with Evans in quite some time but I bought some leggings and a dress recently and was very impressed with the shape and cut of the dress. They actually use fat models to fit the clothes they make not just size up from a smaller size like some brands!

This Winter has been all about the leopard print again and I am a happy lady. I saw this dress on the website and fell in love. I ordered the size 28 and it fits my bust great. The neck could do with being a little smaller but the sleeves are great.

I wore grey Snag tights with it and used the fabric belt from the dress as a tie with pin to look smart. The glasses are Red Or Dead and were available from Specsavers years ago and I missed out. I have been on the hunt for a pair ever since and found these at Retro Spectacle.

I am a bit annoyed these photos a not brighter but I hope you can see the awesome quality and perfection of this Chubby Cartwheels Velvet Natalie dress! Velvet is my favourite fabric EVER! It is just so lush and makes me feel glam without really trying.

My last post showed some of Shawnas amazing custom creations and this dress is just as special. It is available in Black, Burgundy, Emerald Green and just added is a beautiful Olive Green! I chose my sleeve length and size 5x with custom bust of 21" making the waist seam actually sit at my waist! This NEVER happens! My extra large bust means seams are usually right up under my bust or worse over my bust! This Velvet is soft, smooth, stretchy and oh sooo comfortable!

Having the option to customise your order to fit your body is brilliant and means you get something made for you while supporting a small business which I love. Chubby Cartwheels is a Brand that knows fat bodies and body positivity because Shawna the Woman that IS Chubby Cartwheels is fat and body positive! Knowing her customers needs and wants and even creating things I never even knew I wanted until I saw them! As you have noticed I love glasses and own a lot of pairs. I usually buy vintage or from the USA as I love the vintage Cateye style but I had a booklet through my door from Specsavers and was very pleasantly surprised at how many vintage inspired framed they had in store.

I booked an appointment to get my eyes tested as it had been about a year since my last and excitedly looked online to see what other frames were available.

These are the Brands that you will find in Specsavers.

A new Collection that is available is this Twiggy range that has lots of colour and texture. The range is very pretty and oh so feminine. It is a range that will appeal to all ages and is not super expensive. There are always deals on so check them out too!

After having a series of eye tests by a lovely optician and getting some much needed advice on eye care as my eyes have been very itchy with the cold weather and use if indoor heating I headed down to try on all the glasses! I fell in love with a couple of Red or Dead frames but was told they were not in stock and no longer available to order. They are still on the website taunting me now!

After the disappointment I managed to find these little beauties. I had not heard of Max & Co before but I loved the shape and colour so they were a hit and I ordered them.

I was advised that they were a good size and shape for my face by the sales assistant and was told I could pick them up and have a fitting in a few days.

These are the lovely glasses I chose and I could not be happier with them. My experience has made me realise that I can shop on the high street for vintage style frames at a good price and that seeing and optician regularly is very important for good eye care.

Glitter, Bows & Domino

I bought this Modcloth dress a while ago and have not had a good enough reason to wear it until now. it has a slight sheen to the fabric and no stretch. the colour is like a grey/brown. I need the 4x for my bust but found the shoulders quite wide and arm holes large. Why do plus size clothes makers think fat people need masssssive arm holes??

The bag is Red Or Dead from Simply Be and is a gold and silver glitter vinyl with Domino stitch design. Shoe are very old Hush Puppies that go with almost everything!

Finished off with my large lilac confetti glitter lucite Desperate Beatnik earrings. I am seriously obsessed with her earrings!!!! Keep an eye out for another giveaway on my instagram soon!

Saying Yes In This Dress

So you might have noticed my many posts on various social media on Sunday that I got engaged. My lovely man of nearly 5 years proposed to me on bended knee in a swanky hotel room. Let me take you to the start of the evening. I got dressed up to go to a friends birthday meal or so I thought.

I wore this Modcloth dress I have blogged about before HERE but can never seem to get great photos of! I love this dress. I added my Desperate Beatnik matching red/silver confetti glitter lucite earrings and brooch set.

Keeping with the glitter theme I wore red glitter flats and my new Red Or Dead gold/silver glitter bag. I got it from Simply Be but can't find it on the website now.

The future husband even made an effort with a fancy shirt and suit jacket. He lives in tartan shirts so this is fancy for him. He even posed for a couple of pics. Ever the joker! One of the many many reasons I love him.
